Budget Flights Online-sensational Travel Savings

The last time I searched for budget flights online-budget travel ariline tickets I used an unbelievable strategy that saved us over $300 per ticket. Ticket prices from New York to London enabled us to save money for some extra shopping.

Vacations are meant for us to spend fun time together as a family. They’re special times for letting our hair down. Not for pulling our hair out trying to save a dollar here and there.

Have you ever been on a trip to some faraway land and gotten bumped trying to get back home? That’s extremely frustrating. Especially if your funds are running low. What do you do in a case like that?

Have you ever been stuck in an airport overnight? What are you supposed to do? What’s your next step? What about your bags? What happens when you arrive safely but your bags are winging their way to Timbuktu?

A travel expert has taken three years to put together a book, “Travel Secrets Guide.” The travel strategies in this guide will save you hundreds, and depending on the number of people traveling with you, maybe even thousands of dollars.

It even answers the previous stressful questions and so much more. Have you ever changed your travel plans? If you have then you know about the ticket penalty. Well this book shows the steps you take to avoid that ticket penalty.

Thousands of customers use this book religiously to save on each and every trip they take. Included in the book is a Power Search Tool. It allows you to do a power search of the main travel websites.

This tool allows you to investigate ticket prices at Orbitz, Travelocity, Hotwire, Cheaptickets, Expedia and Priceline. So much time, energy and money is saved using this special search tool.

The book is crammed with travel tips and techniques on saving money in almost every area of your travel. Even in areas that you thought were financially locked down areas. You’ll get tips that will free those areas up, so that you can find another way to save.

For instance, have you ever heard of Airfare consolidators? These companies purchase flights in bulk directly from the airlines. They take the tickets and resell them to travel agencies and to members of the public. You can save between 50%-70% on these tickets.

That’s just another strategy included in this fantastic book. When things in the travel industry change and you can save even more, guess what? Your updates are free for a lifetime.

If you feel that this book doesn’t deliver on its promises, just ask for a refund. You’ll get it back in 48 hours. No hoops to jump through and no questions asked.

Toronto Travel Tips

Saturday, October 31st, 2009

Author: Sharon Stajda -

One of my favorite vacation spots is Toronto, Canada. Coming from the city of Detroit, it is only about three and half hours away. It is a straight shot up the 401 highway once your cross the border in Detroit.

Toronto has often been called the New York City of Canada. I think it lives up to this comparison. However, Toronto is much cleaner and safer than New York City. I have been amazed at how clean the city is for such a large population. I have also never felt in danger even when walking around past midnight.

As far as things to see and do, you will never run out. I have probably made about twenty five trips to Toronto in my life and I have never been bored. There is always old favorites along with new things popping up all the time.

Below is my list of the top ten things you should see and do in Toronto. These are things that you should not miss on your visit.

1. Take a walk down Bloor Street. This is the Park Avenue of Toronto. You will find all of the fancy shops on this street. Including Gucci, Prada, and the amazing Holt-Renfrew department store. If you can afford $500 for a pair of jeans, this is the place for you. Beyond the expensive stores, it is a nice walk and great people watching. And as always, window shopping is free.

2. Visit the quirky shops of Queen Street. This street is synonymous with the term “Funky”. You will find hip clothing stores, independent record shops, and other off the wall type establishments. Favorite bar to visit on this street is the legendary Horseshoe Tavern. Every great Canadian music act has played there.

3. Stroll through Chinatown. Looking for dim sum? Exotic Chinese herbs? Rare teas? Toronto’s Chinatown is the place for you. Chinese restaurants shy away from the traditional “North American Chinese” menu. Instead, they serve up variety of authentic dishes that feed the over 400,000 people of Chinese background in Toronto.

4. Shop at the Eaton Center. I am not one for shopping malls. However, I do love the Eaton Center. The mall itself is a six storey glass ceiling structure modeled after Milan’s Galleria Vittorio Emanuele. It has over 285 stores with a great food court on the lower level. Make sure to visit New York fries and order the Poutine. A blend of french fries, cheese curds and gravy.

5. Take a trip on the subway. The Toronto subway is clean, safe, and easy to navigate. There are two main lines, the Younge-University-Spadina and the Bloor-Danforth. From the subway, you can get to all of the main tourist hotspots.

6. Visit the top of the CN Tower. The world’s tallest building at 553m (1815 ft). The view is amazing. At the top of the tower is the 360 restaurant. This is a world class restaurant. The floor does a complete rotation every 72 minutes. When dining, you will get to view the city below from each direction.

7. What would a visit to the great white north be without a bit of hockey? Toronto is home to the Hockey Hall of Fame. Hockey has a special place in the national conscious of the Canadians. Make sure to visit the Wayne Gretzky area.

8. Gourmets will love St. Lawrence Market. Considered in the top twenty five markets in the world, it has over 50 specialty vendors. Great vegetables, fruits, meat, cheese, and seafood abound. On the lower level, visit the St. Lawrence Market Juice Bar. They specialize in freshly squeezed juices of all kinds and related products.

9. Visit the eclectic Kensington Market area. Dating back to the original settlement of Toronto in 1790s by the British, you will now find a diverse area of shopping representing the cultures of Portuguese, East Indian, Ethiopian and Caribbean.

10. Eat in Little Italy. For my money, the restaurants in Little Italy represent are the best restaurants in all of Toronto. Beyond restaurants, you will find exciting night life in this area. This includes wonderful Italian coffee shops, gelato, music bars, and even Latin dancing.

I hope these tips will help you enjoy your visit to Toronto.

Travel Insurance and Pregnancy

Saturday, October 31st, 2009

Author: Tom Harkenshire
Source: ezinearticles.com

Unless you’ve already had children, you know that once you have one, your life is forever changed from that point. At least for a couple of years, you can forget about many of the things you’ve done frequently in the past. This is one reason why many pregnant women like to travel during their pregnancy, knowing it will be much harder (and probably impossible) to do so after the baby has been born.

If you intend to travel while pregnant, here are some important considerations to keep in mind:

First, even though people normally tend not to look at the terms offered by the travel insurance (”the fine print”) when going on vacation, now might be a good time to start doing so. The reason being, insurance companies consider pregnant women to be ‘high risk’. This is understandable, as there may be circumstances where the woman delivers her baby in a foreign country where she does not have medical insurance. Furthermore, there may be complications with the pregnancy while abroad which will require immediate medical attention.

Consequently, often pregnant women are not covered unless they return 8 weeks before their due date. In order to prevent aggravation and real risks to you and your baby, make sure you check this clause in your travel insurance. Make sure this applies both for your departure and your return dates – better safe than sorry!

Furthermore, the risk of complications greatly increases if travel is in the second half of the final trimester – so regardless of insurance policies – think hard whether you want to endanger yourself and your baby in such an advanced stage of pregnancy.

Second, if you are unable to find a company that will offer you travel insurance and you absolutely must travel (and these circumstances do occur), contact an insurance broker directly and see whether they are able to create a specific policy for you. Be warned, this will be more expensive than a standard policy, but this price is well worth it in case something does occur while you are away from home.

Third, most airlines have some type of restrictions with regards to pregnant women. Thus, before you purchase a ticket, check the specific restrictions placed by the airline you chose. Also, as you are probably aware, most airlines do not allow pregnant women to travel once their pregnancy is past a certain stage. Be sure to find the specific conditions before you leave. Note that the safest period to travel – from a statistical point of view – is the second trimester of the pregnancy. Keep this in mind!

Fourth, before going on any trip, it is a good idea to go see your doctor and have a checkup. The last thing one needs on a vacation in a foreign country is to discover she had a problem that needs urgent care. This can be avoided! Furthermore, in the final stages of pregnancy this is actually a necessary requirement in order to demonstrate you are eligible to fly, both for the insurance companies and the airlines who aim to minimize their risks, so obtain a letter from your physician that assures them you are in good health.

In conclusion: if you are pregnant and have decided to embark on a vacation, please follow the above advice as it would help you avoid certain unnecessary risks. If all is well, have a safe – and enjoyable – trip! And be sure to send us pictures!

Our website, the Guide to Health is a resource for health insurance advice. In particular we aim to make it a resource for pregnant women. This article, which discusses Travel Insurance and Pregnancy is one example, but we also have articles that help uninsured pregnant women obtain health insurance even if they’re late into pregnancy.

How To Find The Cheapest Airfare Deal

Friday, October 30th, 2009

Author: Helen Hecker
Source: articledashboard.com

Here are some lesser known and best quick tips to help you find the cheapest airfare deal for your next flight. Today airfares are constantly changing in a dramatic way. When it comes to finding and getting the best deals, knowing how the air travel game works will make you a super shopper whether for business travel, personal or vacation travel.

One assumes that discount airlines always have the lowest fares. But that’s not always the case. While these low cost carriers can bring you some big savings, they don’t always offer you the lowest airfares. When you’re comparing prices from the various carriers you don’t want to forget to check out the airlines’ individual Web sites. Many times the airlines’ Web sites offer much better deals than the discount travel Web sites.

Make sure to calculate fees and taxes. Before you book your flight, make sure your air fare includes all the necessary fees and taxes. If your fare doesn’t include the fees and taxes, you may not actually be booking the least expensive airfare available.

Fees and taxes have always been part of the cost for air travel. Airline and government-imposed charges have risen sharply over the recent years, especially for international flights. Increasing fuel prices, fuel surcharges and security fees have made airline travel much more expensive. This can sometimes add up to more than the cost of your base ticket price, believe it or not.

Sometimes the closest airport to your home base does not offer the lowest airfares. Consider flying out of another airport that’s within an easy drive. Check the rates at any of the alternative airports. Depending on the airfare, it may be worth it to travel an extra hour or two to the airport to save you hundreds of dollars.

Fees will vary by Web site. The most popular travel Web sites differ widely in their airfares. Each travel Web site negotiates the best deals with the carriers and often has exclusive hot deals. Be sure to check the major travel Web sites as well as individual airline sites.

Airfares are a constantly moving target, with rates changing as much as several times a day. Ticket sales don’t usually last long. If you want to find the best airline deal for your business travel, personal travel or vacation travel, you’ll need to shop around.

Many people don’t know that their computer may be preventing them from getting the newest and last minute travel deals. Most Web sites use ‘cookies’, which are the text files that are placed on your hard drive by a Web page server. They tell the server that you have returned to a specified page and to go ahead and retrieve the information they have about you. This does simplify the process of recording any personal information you’ve divulged, such as billing addresses, but it also tracks the results that you were viewing.

This means that if you’re checking airfares and you go back to a previous Web site, the airfare search engine may return the exact results you looked at earlier rather than the newest results, because of the ‘cookies’.

You can take care of this by clearing the cookies on your Internet browser each time you do a search. Just go to tools, Internet options, then delete the cookies, delete the files and delete the history. This will delete your other cookies, files and sites that you’ve been to, which you may or may not want to do however. Get advice on this first if you haven’t done it before so you don’t delete anything you want to save.

Ask for the cheapest airfare deal. If you’re calling the airline directly for tickets, ask for the cheapest airfare or their last minute flight deals if that’s the case, not just the airfare for coach. There could, in fact, be a cheaper airfare that’s in a better seat!

Fly on the off days. Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and sometimes Saturday are considered off days unless it’s close to a holiday. If you can fly on those days, you’ll be more likely to find a cheap airline deal.

Red-eye flights can mean great savings. Red-eye flights don’t sell out as quickly as the other flights and therefore may have cheaper air fares. While the red-eye flight isn’t the first choice of many travelers, it offers you an opportunity to sleep through the entire flight. And if you also go with a red-eye flight on an off day, you may find the cheapest airline deal possible!

Your Travel Destination Shall Be Cebu, Philippines

Friday, October 30th, 2009

Author: Kim Hald -
Source: articledashboard.com

That may be a presumptuous statement to make but after reading this article thoroughly, there’s a good chance that you’d agree to make that statement as well.

But first, let’s get down to the basics.

Cebu, as mentioned, is in the Philippines. Now, when you mention the Philippines, it’s either Manila or Boracay — those are the first places to come to your mind. But we assure you that Cebu is as good as both those places. Better yet, there’s no need to pass through other cities in the Philippines just to get to Cebu. As one of the major ports of the country, Cebu is even directly accessible from other countries such as Singapore and Hong Kong, China.

Since Cebu is highly urbanized, tourists have no need to worry about where to purchase toiletries and other necessities because there are department stores and 24-hour convenience stores strategically located all over the city.

But enough about that and let’s get directly to the good stuff.

The Olango Wildlife Sanctuary should always figure prominently in a tourist’s travel plan to Cebu, Philippines. In this sanctuary, tourists would able to catch a glimpse of different species of migrating birds coming from places as far as China and Siberia. Based on studies made of this natural phenomenon, these birds choose Olango as a wintering ground and a way to increase their fat reserves before they resume flight.

Cebu’s Fort San Pedro is the oldest tri-bastion fort in the Philippines. Built in 1565, its 8-foot thick walls and 30-foot tall tower bore witness to several wars, not the least would be World War II, in which it served as barracks for American soldiers.

Casa Gorordo Museum is also one of the well-loved destinations of tourists once they arrive in Cebu. Taking a tour of this well-kept museum is like stepping into another time and era, thanks to the lovely antique furniture on display and the conservation of residential features from the old days such as the magnificent courtyard.

And speaking of Gorordo, make sure that you visit 415 Gorordo Avenue in Lahug, Cebu City because that is the address of the Sala Piano Museum. In this museum, you’d be able to a see a collection of about hundreds of pianos of different shapes and sizes.

Lastly, there’s the Kawasan Falls in Matutinao, Badian. The sight of this majestic waterfall would no doubt make you think how lucky we are to live in such a beautiful world.

Horde Leveling Guide – How to Level a Horde Character

Thursday, October 29th, 2009

Author: Daniel D. Davidson
Source: ezinearticles.com

For those who belong or plan to belong to the Horde, which is one of the two key political factions in the World of Warcraft game, this is your leveling guide. The races that belong to the Horde are the Troll, Tauren, Orc, Undead, and Blood elf. For beginner levels one to 11, each race will have its one starting zone. To level up from 12 to 25, you will want to begin at The Barrens. You will have to go to the Crossroads in the barrens and you will have to choose several easy and useful quests. It is recommended that you do the Hunter’s Way for a quest that is easy to deliver.

Other quests that you may want to accomplish include The Forgotten Pools, Raptor Thieves, The Stagnant Oasis, Warfmaster Dizzywig, Altered Beings, The Zhevra, Plainstrider Menace, Supplies for the Crossroads, and Centaur Bracers. When you have reached level 15, it is suggested that you go to Orgrimmar for the Ragefire Chasm. Some of the quests in this area are The Power to Destroy, Testing an Enemy’s Strength, Hidden Enemies, and Slaying the Beast. It is also recommended that you repeat Ragefire Chasm to gain many items and increase your XP. Upon reaching level 18, you may leave the Ragefire Chasm and return to the Crossroads in the Barrens.

Some of the quests that you may complete at the Crossroads include Miners Fortune, Stolen Silver, Wanted: Baron Longshore, Intact Raptor Horns, Verog the Dervish, Ignition, Egg Hunt, Counterattack, Lost in Battle, The Guns of Northwatch, Chen’s Empty Keg, and Consumed by Hatred. After completing some of these quests you should be able to attain level 25. If not, you may head to the Wailing Caverns and do not leave this zone until you get to level 25.

After attaining level 25, the next zone would be Thousand Needles, which you can reach by traveling directly south from the barrens. It is suggested that you remain in this zone until you reach level 40. You may try the quests Alien Egg, Message to Freewind Post, Wind Rider, Grimtotem Spying, Sacred Fire, Serpent Wild, Salt Flat Venom, Load Lightening, Hypercapacitor Gizmo, Hardened Shells, Wind Rider, Martek the Exiled, A Bump in the Road, and Rocket Car Parts.

After level 40, you can initiate instance leveling because this is the fastest way to level up, and it is also time to have a group. The first dungeon for your group should be the Uldaman in the Badlands. After finishing some quests here, your group can travel to the Razorfin Downs instance that is located in the barrens. The next instance to go is The Temple of Atal’Hakkar that is located in the Swamp of Sorrows. You can enhance your level here by grinding.

The next place to go is the Blackrock Depths for such quests as the Dark Iron Legacy, The Love Potion, and Commander Gor’Shak. After this, the next instance to go is the Blackrock Spire for quests such as En-Ay-Es-Tee-Why, Kibler’s Exotic Pets, and The Pack Mistress. The last instance to go to reach level 60 is the Scholomance.
